Epinotia cinereana

(Haworth, 1811)49.256

Previously regarded as a form of Epinotia nisella but accepted as a species in its own right since 2012. Distribution uncertain but assumed to be rather more widespread locally than our mapping shows. Dissection required, with plainer grey specimens of "nisella" being the most likely to be confirmed as cinereana.
