Scarce in the region. Mainly recorded from a few localised areas including the low-lying River Ray catchment on clay northeast of Oxford, where it is recorded fairly regularly on scrubby ground and in open parts of woodland. Its overall scarcity in the region extends over a wider area of central southern England.
