A local species of rough grassland and open woodland found right across the British Isles. Very uncommon in our region, mainly in the west. Often obscurely marked so might need dissection to confirm, while those with a clearer wing pattern are superficially similar to the larger Endothenia quadrimaculana. Recorded in 9 (12%) of 78 10k Squares. First Recorded in 1926. Last Recorded in 2021. (Data up to end 2022) |
