Was considered extinct in the region, in line with the disappearance of this elm-dependant species from most of its range in Britain. Signs of recovery in other areas suggest that re-colonisation could occur and indeed one was found by Ian Sims in the Rothamsted trap at Jealott's Hill, Berkshire, on 7-13 Aug 2021, the first Berkshire record for 34 years. This was followed by a second recent record when Ian Esland recorded it at Waltham Place near Maidenhead (VC22) on 2nd August 2022. (A third record has been made in 2023.) Occurs in woodland and hedgerows.
