Found quite widely across the region until the 1980s, but may now be extinct. Most often found on well-drained calcareous soil, and a seemingly strong population was discovered in such an area in West Oxfordshire in 2006, but it has not been seen since 2013, in spite of numerous subsequent searches. This species has declined nationally to the point of near extinction.
